Eleven recent graduates if South Shore high schools have been presented with the 2011 South Shore Savings Bank Citizenship Award, which is given each year to graduating seniors selected by their schools as outstanding citizens. The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Bank's South Weymouth headquarters attended by the students and their parents.
Established in 1992, the South Shore Savings Bank Citizenship Award is a $500 cash awards. Award recipients are chosen primarily because they:
- have made each of their schools a better place because they were part of it;
- have demonstrated a commitment and concern for the community;
- have displayed personal qualities of sincerity, responsibility and conscientiousness; and
- are residents of Braintree, East Bridgwater, Hanover, Norwell, Pembroke, Quincy, Stoughton or Weymouth.
The winners of the 2011 South Shore Savings Bank Citizenship Award, and their schools, are: Damani Barboza of Stoughton, Stoughton High School; Heather Coggeshall of Braintree, Weymouth Evening High School; Alissa Conti of East Bridgewater, Weymouth Evening High School; Christopher DiTullio of Hanover, Hanover High School; Lindsey Foley of Braintree, Braintree High School; Olivia Harvey of East Bridgewater, East Bridgewater High School; Robert Kozlowski of Quincy, Quincy High School; Jennifer Salas of Pembroke, Pembroke High School; Andrew Sheridan of Weymouth, Weymouth High School; Katelyn Sprague of East Bridgewater, South Shore Christian Academy; and Rachael Wolfson of Norwell, Norwell High School.
